Michele Krick

President

When she first discovered the mission and clothing of Elegantees, Michele Krick quickly knew she wanted to get involved somehow. Helping women rise up after the trauma of being trafficked was something that had been on her heart for many years. A year later, she found herself in Nepal visiting the sewing center and spending time with the women already employed there. The hope overflowing from the sewing center needed to be multiplied, and Michele was obedient to the call of helping establish the non-profit to make it happen.

Michele’s flight attendant career exposed her to all the different faces of humanity, and she had a heightened awareness of what the vulnerable look like. In the airline, she led efforts to make others aware of human trafficking and what to do when it was noticed. Now, as the President of Sewn to Restore, she has the opportunity for an even greater impact in anti-trafficking efforts. Her love for the rescued women is palpable, and reveals a deep longing to see their hearts healed by God’s gentle hand.

Marilyn Kinser

Treasurer

After enduring a difficult upbringing, and becoming saved by grace after her daughter, Amy, was born, Marilyn Kinser’s life has become a testimony to God’s restorative power. Because of His great work in her life, she has been given many opportunities over the years to come alongside vulnerable young women and help them rise up from the troubling situations they have found themselves in. She brings a motherly tenderness to these interactions, complimenting the Father’s love for each woman she speaks with.

Professionally, Marilyn worked as a bookkeeper and then also in the unemployment department for the state of Oregon. Now that she has retired, she mentors women at The Refuge: a Christian organization that helps women victimized by domestic violence. All of these experiences make her a perfect addition to the Sewn to Restore Board of Directors. She has an excitement to witness God’s faithful restoration in many more lives as He blesses the obedient efforts of Sewn to Restore.

Amy Blindt

Secretary

Still in the throes of motherhood, Amy Blindt has a passion for bringing encouragement to women who are going through their own challenging seasons. God has held her and sustained her through each of her own trials, and Amy is confident that He wants to do that for other women too. Although introverted by nature, God has opened her eyes to see others through His eyes, and softened her heart to love others like He does. She feels a deep responsibility to share what God has taught her, in order to point other women back to Him.

Amy juggles homeschooling her children, working remotely for her employer, and doing what she calls “rogue” women’s ministry in her town. The opportunity for her to join the Sewn to Restore Board of Directors was an unexpected appointment only God could orchestrate. She uses story telling in order to further the mission of Sewn to Restore and bring women together to fight the evils of human trafficking. Amy believes that God is working to restore and redeem all things, and that these testimonies bring Him glory.
